Dean is inspired by the ability to help provide a cure for someone with a devastating illness. That’s right, a cure. From Dean’s perspective, what could be more profound than that? She’s passionate about engaging more students, investors and community partners in the Project Life Movement mission. Dean believes that people and communities are greatly enriched through philanthropy and enjoys volunteering her time by serving on the Boards of Leadership Charlotte, Women Executives and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Ann is a graduate of NC State and the mother of three wonderful boys. She loves to cook, read and travel. She would rather be at the beach with her family than anywhere else. She is on the list because it is so easy to potentially be a lifesaver to someone. The other lives that she could affect because of a bone marrow match blows her away!
Dorian is a graduate and former student athlete of Livingstone College. He was first introduced to Project Life in 2012 when he helped lead a campus drive which registered about 300 donors. He has served as an intern with Project Life and has now rejoined the team full-time. Dorian has a passion for helping people and is hoping to save as many lives as possible by encouraging others to sign up for the bone marrow registry.
Katie is a graduate and former student athlete of Truman State University. She spent the past seven years working as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, most recently at the University of South Carolina and has seen firsthand the impact student athletes can have on their campuses and communities. Katie is excited to be a part of an organization that works every day to educate others on how they can provide hope to patients suffering with a blood cancer.
